Kirsten Hill was elected to the Ohio State Board of Education in November 2018, representing District 2. Her term began in January 2019 and expires in December 2022.

Kirsten and her husband, Andy, operated Penton’s Farm Market, her family’s year-round market in Lorain County for 25 years. She also ran a seasonal farm-tour business, hosting families and preschool through elementary classes for many years. She is the mother of two.

Prior to being a small business owner, she worked as a certified public accountant for KeyBank in Cleveland and for an Ann Arbor, Michigan firm.

Kirsten is a former 20-year member and one-time president of the Amherst Schools Education Foundation, which awards grants to teachers and scholarships to students graduating from Amherst Schools.

Kirsten has a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in German and a master’s degree in business administration. She is chairman of a local community group, voting precinct committeeman and past chapter leader of a statewide business organization and served on the Amherst Township Board of Zoning Appeals for 15 years.
